Incredible Hulk - Box Office Gold For Incredible Hulk After Opening Weekend

The Incredible Hulk has smashed its way to the top of the UK and Irish box office after its first weekend on release.

With £3.25 million in box office receipts, the Louis Leterrier film pushed last week's number one, Sex and the City, into second place.

But with General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) and super soldier Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) on his tale, Bruce is unable to avoid the appearance of the beast within as he nears a climactic battle in New York City.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull fell one place to third while the other new entry in the top ten was M Night Shyamalan's new movie The Happening.
